Your aim is fine, but you lose trades, drop attack rounds, and fall apart in 1vXs. That is a positioning and decision problem, not a mechanics problem.
Your headshot rate is solid on Doc (69%), Zero (71%) and Finka (65%), and your defense is strong: Kaid 60%, Thorn 61% and Doc 57% win rates show you can anchor and hold sites. The problems are your overall 0.82 K/D, which Pulse (0.41) and Azami (0.46) drag down badly, and attack, where Buck (44.6%) and Finka (45.1%) lose more rounds than they win despite near-even or positive K/Ds. Your 17% clutch rate points to poor information, time and utility management in late rounds rather than raw aim. Fix attack structure, cut your worst operators, and learn to play 1vXs, and Gold II to Plat is realistic.
Attack structure: converting kills into rounds
Buck (44.6% win at 0.98 K/D) and Finka (45.1% win at 1.13 K/D) show you are getting kills but not winning rounds. That usually means lone-wolf fights, no plant, or poor timing. Your defense win rates are 57-61%, so the gap is on attack.
- Before each attack round, decide your plan with teammates: where you are entering, who you trade with and where you plant. If nobody is talking, call it yourself.
- Play one round per match where you never fight alone: stay within 1 to 2 rooms of a teammate and only peek when they can swing with you.
- After each kill on attack, ask yourself if the kill advanced the plant or just sat you in a worse spot. If it did not advance the plant, rotate and set up utility instead of re-peeking.
- Aim to have the defuser down with at least 45 seconds left. Track how many of your lost rounds ended with no plant.
- In Custom or Unranked, practice a full execute on one map: drone, utility, entry, plant, then holding the plant from a crossfire.
Clutch fundamentals (17% won)
Winning only 17% of clutches means you are likely rushing, peeking with no info, or running out of time. This is the cheapest area to improve because it costs only a mindset change.
- In every 1vX, spend the first 10 seconds gathering information (drone, cameras, sound) instead of moving. Treat the clutch as a defense of your position or the plant, not a hunt.
- On attack, pre-aim common angles and use utility (flash, smoke, drone) before every re-peek.
- Never take a fight you can avoid; make the enemy come to you or run out of time when you are defending a plant.
- Clip your last 5 lost clutches. For each one, write the single decision that lost the round (peeked early, no sound cue, wrong spot) and avoid repeating it.
- Practice 1v1 and 1v2 situations in a Custom game with a friend or in Team Deathmatch: use crossfires, off-angles and delayed peeks.
Fix the Pulse and Azami leaks (0.41 and 0.46 K/D)
These two operators cost you roughly 100 rounds at a K/D about half your norm. Pulse is typically a roaming or peeking role, and Azami's value comes from placement, not aim. Both punish you when your positioning is off.
- Stop playing Pulse until you can hold a site with his heartbeat sensor: scan, call, and fall back to a safe angle instead of pushing the info.
- If you play Azami, use Kiba barriers to hold the angles you are struggling to defend (windows, hatch lines) and sit behind them instead of re-peeking from open ground.
- Look at where you die with each: write down the room, the angle, and whether a teammate was nearby. Make one rule from each pattern.
- For the next 20 ranked games, swap those two for your best defenders (Thorn, Kaid, Doc) unless the team needs them.
Gunfight selection and survival
Your overall K/D of 0.82 is worse than most of your top-operator K/Ds (0.89-1.13), so many of your deaths come from low-value fights on weaker operators. Your 53% headshot rate shows the aim is there; it is angle and timing selection that is lacking.
- Spend 10 minutes in Terrorist Hunt or Custom on crosshair placement: walk the map with your crosshair at head height and pre-aim corners.
- After each death, ask: did I have info? Was a teammate near me? Could I have held the angle instead of peeking?
- Take your fights with a teammate able to swing with you; avoid solo re-peeks after your first kill.
- Keep a simple death log for 10 games and pick the most common cause to fix first.
- Thorn (defender): your best win rate (61%) and K/D (1.12). Use him as your default anchor, and place Razorblooms where they delay attackers on the plant.
- Kaid (defender): 60% win rate and 1.06 K/D at a low 26% headshot rate, so you are winning through gadgets, not aim. Keep electrifying hatches and reinforced walls, and anchor close to the objective.
- Doc (defender): your most-played operator at 57% wins with a great 69% headshot rate. Keep him as a flexible pick for team support, and use the stim pistol on your anchor right before fights.
- Zero (attack): 57.6% win rate and 71% headshot rate. Play him more in place of Buck; his Argus cameras give free information and cover.
- Finka / Buck (attack): Finka's K/D is 1.13, but a 45% win rate suggests you are using her for kills, not plants. Use her boost to enable site pushes, and pair Buck only with a teammate ready to trade, or swap Buck out until your attack structure improves.
- Day 1-2: Warm up 15 minutes (aim, Terrorist Hunt crosshair placement). Play ranked on Thorn, Kaid and Doc only. Track every death: where, whether you had info, and whether a teammate could trade.
- Day 3-4: Focus on attack. Play Zero, Ash and Dokkaebi with the rule 'never fight alone' and 'plant by 45 seconds.' Watch one Pro League attack round per day and write down the entry, trade and plant timings.
- Day 5-7: Clutch work. Do 1v1 and 1v2 practice in Custom, then play ranked using the 10-second info rule in every 1vX. Review your 5 worst deaths and your 5 lost clutches, and write down one fix for each to start next week.
